 Meet the Brain Tumour UK East Team

Ella Pybus, brain tumour survivor, Brain Tumour UK Trustee and co-founder of Meningioma UK (for meningioma patients), is committed to developing support for patients, carers and families across the Eastern counties with new Brain Tumour UK Support groups in Cambridge and Norwich. Ella is our local Brain Tumour UK East contact for Suffolk and N Essex.

Vicki Kenworthy, former nurse, “Compassionate Friends” volunteer, and certificated bereavement counsellor, knows what it means to lose close relatives to a brain tumour. Since summer 2006 Vicki has played an active role in meetings in Cambridge and now in Norwich. She also acts as our local Brain Tumour East contact in Cambridgeshire.

Trudy Thomas, like Ella, is a brain tumour survivor, and they first met up at Addenbrookes Hospital in 2003. Trudy joined Brain Tumour UK in June 2007 as the charity's new Community Fundraiser. Born and bred in Norfolk where she continues to live and work, Trudy is well-known in East Anglia for her previous successes as a professional fundraiser for sick children. 

Brain Tumour UK Chief Executive, Jenny Baker OBE, took on the challenging role of developing and expanding the work of the charity in 2006. She applauds Brain Tumour UK's support initiative in the eastern counties, seeing it as a step in the right direction for patients, families, and caregivers.
